    Headlight Bulb Replacement

So I tried to swap out the oem hid's for 8000k ones. I've worked on cars and know a little but found it near impossible. Messed up the bulbs I got and scared to put the stock ones back in. I'm pretty sure it's simple but I can't seem to do it. Can anyone help! Thx.

Stock bulb is 4300k. Too yellowish white for my taste.

Found this, hope it helps, I know it's FR-S related, but you might be able to pull something from there

4300k is the brightest you can get actually. 5000k is a little bluer (mostly white) with just a little bit of lumens reduction, and 6000k is a bit more blue with a bit more lumens reduction. 6000k is really as high as you should go honestly, or you might not be able to see things at night due to less light output. After 6000k, they actually have to tint the bulbs to get the desired color so light output suffers greatly.

I had 8k before and it wasn't much of a light output loss. Still better than regular halogen lol.

Yeah still brighter than halogens, lol. I personally wouldn't go above 6k because I have to drive on pitch black country roads often and I don't want to die. You can get away with it easier if you drive mostly city.
