what was the resonator part for that you said would not be used? what does it do with the Stock system and why does the aftermarket part not use it?

Also been trying to nail down a good answer....is there any way that installing one of these will:
    1) Void my warranty from Subaru and
    2) make my car fail California emissions tests?

He means the sound tube resonator is not used. You put the plug on the end of the sound generator to cap it off. Removal of the “Sound Generator” will change the sound of the intake system in the cabin.

Injen is not CARB legal for California. Neither is the K&N 69 Series Typhoon Intake. You will have to use the AEM Electronically Tuned Intake, Part Number: 41-1408DS. This is CARB legal in all states.

Injen=worst intake for this car. Bogging/CEL issues. Just terrible.

I've got 4000 miles in 2 months on my new BRZ with the Ingen intake, no CEL issues yet, and I drive the car hard.
