Back up camera
I'm interested in installing a back up camera on my wife's 2013 BRZ. It has the Pioneer AVIC X9510BT and noticed in the manual that it has the set up for a camera. Looking on the Pioneer web site they list a universal camera that I believe may work. I was wondering if anybody else has attempted this and if the BRZ Premium is pre-wired for this? If not, has anybody had success with another make the is compatible with the stock audio/navi system the car came with.
I put a camera on my pioneer avic-x850bt, which uses the same hookups as the 95. The only hard part was running the cables. The BRZ is not pre-wired for the camera.
I got a Rydeen Mini from ebay and installed it where a stock camera would go. (there is an indentation on the rear facsia where the license plate lights are that fits the camera)

Anyway, you have to run the wires thru the trunk lid, into the main body and down the driver's side. It was a PITA, because you have to pull a lot of trim panels and such to run it so you can't see the wires. Powered it off the reverse circuit by tapping into the reverse lights wire loom in the trunk.
It works great.
