Thread: So at what point are new cars not going to have the tail light / CEL problem?

I just ordered a BRZ Premium 6MT. The dealer estimates that it will probably arrive around Jan-Feb but honestly doesn't know.

Do you think Subaru would have fixed these issues at the factory by now?

I believe the tail light condensation problem, which has a Subaru TSB, might have a VIN number cutoff associated with it. I purchased early Nov and don't have any problems at all. Not sure about the CEL though.

That should be the case as the cause of the tail light condensation was installers tightening the screws down too much cracking the tail light in the process.

Maybe the TSB might disclose new torque specs for the tail lights.
