New front Grill minus the black bumper cover

    Hi guys,
Since only few of us have gotten the BRZ in our possession, I have decided to take the lead on making a full grill based on some pictures i saw on FT86club's site, I have looked around and no one has build one (if i'm wrong that's great, i like to see some)
So far my understanding from reading related thread on this is that the black piece is attached to the front bumper body, it has paint overlays which indicates i would have to dremel the area off and hopefully remove the Styrofoam that is free flowing inside, I intend to make a aluminum/light weight bracket in the same shape and somehow attach it to the frame/mounts inside, anything should work since it would probably be stronger than the Styrofoam!
as for the grill, I will probably find a strong mesh that has some strength but yet still mold-able by using some pliers/pinchers, paint it black and the cut to shape to go over the full opening. (of course I need to figure out how to remove the oem grill, which may require poping off the whole front bumper to get better access)
I have made a grill before for my Mazda Mx3, so I have some grasp on getting this done, so stay tuned and wish me luck.

P.S. thanks to Zilla I got my DC exhaust tips installed, tho I used the full round-shaped tips for mine, looks pretty sick!brz exhaust.jpg

Are you talking about removing the plastic part of the front bumoer on the mouth part? The part that makes it look like the new gen mazda 3's.
If you are, I am very interested in a possibility of changing it as well. Can you show your progress.
