    Bike Rack

I do a lot of cycling, so when I bought my BRZ back in July I took a bike with me to make sure it fit on the interior. It does with wheels off. My tri bike is the hardest to fit due to aero bars, but barely squeezes in. Suprisingly my 29r fits better. However, taking both wheels off is getting old. I have a Yakima roof rack from when I had a Mini Cooper S. Yakima now offers the clip size for the BRZ, but after using roof racks for years I have notices the silicone pads abrade the paint surface over time. This is especially apparent on black paint. Mini had a factory rack that slid into two holes in the bumper. What I am looking for is similar in concept, but it uses the import tie downs located under the caps on the rear bumper cover. I have seen them online before, but I am unable to locate anything remotely for sale on the retail market. I found a site showing an MR2 homemade version. Can anyone help me out in locating this type of rear mount bike rack that utilizes the threaded ports used for securing the vehicle during transport. This is kind of the concept.

Nothing good out there so far. Going to try and make something like the Mr2 rack you linked. I think he just drilled holes in the rack to make it go on.

That Mr2 rack certainly is interesting. Maybe my bike is just smaller, but I've been able to fit it with just removing the front wheel. I agree that removing both wheels would get a little old.

i would put small squares of clear vinyl where the feet go. Or even use clear vinyl wrap over the whole roof, that way no scratches

I hate to even suggest this but I realize that not everyone has the BRZ as their second car: You may want to consider a trailer hitch to which a bike rack can be attached. I don't even know if a trailer hitch is available for a BRZ. KUAT (bike racks) has some very good products.

I had been thinking about a bike rack for the BRZ and will keep an eye out for some cool solutions for the car.
