painstakingly slow. I've asked on the forum dozens of times for all of you who have the brz to post some 0-60 numbers. Not a single person has done so, even though however before anyone got their cars everyone was saying how they would.....

Pretty pointless video if you ask me. Not really sure why people are obsessed with 0-60 times anyway. This car ranges between 6.5-7ish seconds to 60, the latter being the auto. I'm sure that with stickier tires, we'll see low to mid 6s for both manual and auto.. Even these numbers are pretty decent all things considered, most GTI's run to 60 around that range in stock form, and in the low 6s with a good launch technique and sticky tires. Yes the GTI is much heavier, but it's turbo, albeit with an underrated turbo motor. I am happy to sacrifice a few seconds off a 0 to 60 time for a car that delivers a pure driving experience.
As I've stated many times before a few months ago - 0-60mph for me is not everything. I am not going to drag race the car at all. It's more a general performance measure. It could be 20-60, or 40-100mph let's say. But 0-60mph is a good way to understand the performance. It's like saying this car has 200hp. Ok, and? It's a general measure of performance. What you equate to those numbers is how you understand the car...Just like slalom, g's, and braking 100mph-0. How often will you experience the g pad? Or braking 100mph to 0? It's the same theory, so what I don't get is why people are saying "why 0-60, who cares?" For a general performance number, to understand the car better (not that I will be doing that necessarily)
