2023 automatic BRZ

So, I'm one of those who had to get the auto version because of a physical problem ( left knee ).
It's an amazing car with a wonderful chassis but the automatic transmission should have been better.
The main problem is its resistance to downshift with the paddles until you reach quiet a low rpm range.
This makes tracking and just spirited driving ( I always use the paddles ) frustrating.
You get to a corner, you press the left paddle to downshift, and it won't let you.
Other than that , it's not very fast shifting but it's bearable.

Did anyone come by a solution for this already?

Thanks.

It has rev match, it will only allows you to drop a gear when it won’t cross the redline after you do it. I’m not a professional but that’s my best guess.

I think the same as you.
