I was upset with the dealer with whom I had made a preorder. The sales manager knocked autox, and the sales person didn't return calls. However, I didn't want to cancel until I researched how Subaru was allocating cars. This info comes from three different dealerships, so I suspect it is true.

Dealerships are allocated the BRZ based on their WRX/STI sales, which makes sense, and that allocation is pro rated over the first seven months. I was 4th out of 13 at the dealership that irritated me, but I found that if would be the 8tht out of 30 at a different dealership, so I cancelled my order and reordered the car at the 2nd dealership, and I will get my car during the second month instead of the third. Life is good.

I believe you're in the Phoenix area right? That makes me very interested. I ordered mine from Camelback. Which deallership did you leave? and which did you go to?

Cool, I'm first in line at Camelback, so Id be reluctant to switch, but it s good to know that there's so many open allocations out there in case Camelbck tries to screw me.

Camelback isn't marking up, either (though they're also out of allocations). I am the first at Camelback, too! The first to order WRB, that is.. :) See you on the road, Dave.

Technowfile said he's the first with WRB. I order a DGM for the record.

I haven't heard anything still, and I'm feeling quite left out with all of the people around the forum getting VINs. Has anyone heard of someone in AZ getting their VIN/delivery date yet?

There is a white limited manual available at Tims in Prescott, Arizona for MSRP. It is 2 of 2 for this dealer. I was thinking of switching dealers, but I don't want a limited.

Evil,

Was the sales guy bad or the management? So far with Power I have an older salesperson who isn't the brightest tool in the shed, but he is trying.

poor managment but every dealer allocation is based on their sti sales and wrx, so if they have amazing or the best sales with sti's and wrx then they would be getting a TON of brz allocations then?

Trying is what a lot of people at dealerships don't do. Is he lacking knowledge about the BRZ? or just Subaru's in general? or is it something else....

Old guy. Isn't great at computers, and doesn't know everything about the BRZ (no big deal since I know enough). His issue right now is creating the VON. His management is supposed to help with it. But he has been efficient about getting my order in place, and trying to get me on the list.
