This is my last shot before taking my car to the dealer because it won’t start, codes b1572 (most likely why) p0113 and p0102. I replaced battery, starter and maf. It won’t start. if i disconnect the car battery my key fob won’t lock or unlock, sometimes it’ll start, after it starts and i turn it off, then come back it’ll start then stall quickly just like immobilizer, i do believe its a immobilizer problem i just dont know how to fix it.

Check the wiring.

1. Any corrosion at all? I had an old 914 that had a bit of corrosion on the ground contacts. I cleaned them off and it really improved the performance.

2. Any animals chewing thru the wires?

3. Check the plastic sheathing as well, it can get brittle and crack and cause issues.

4. Check the connections for corrosion, dust, dirt, etc. Blow them out with air.

I think dealers have better code readers than available to us common folk, so you may have to take it there. But at least they might be able to get more details.

Good luck!

Thank you for the reply, i’ve rarely gotten helpful reply’s and I posted this everywhere, I really don’t want to take it to the dealer because it’s $225/hr. I did check some grounds were rusty I think it was for the ecu braket, since my immobilizer is the problem i don’t know if it’s the antenna ring or ground because the problem comes and goes, but this time it’s bad bad. As for the post It was about a fuse but I got a guy to check the fuses he said they were good I hope at least.

Hey man, so I took it to a well known local shop but they said something like they can’t do anything because the dealer did something where they can’t override it and honestly that dealership was rude I just had a feeling they’d like delete my keys or do something suspicious as hell but i don’t know, ill know more on monday to talk to the shop more. I did find a subaru specialist shop near me they’re known but I don’t know if they can do it honestly or if it’ll be expensive, I can buy a new car with 1,500. towing and diagnostic at the subaru specialist will be like $500 so i don’t know what to do anymore

1. Ask the local shop more details. That just sounds like bullshit that they can't override anything.
2. Find another dealer. Is there another one anywhere near you?
3. Take it to the Subaru specialist shop, or at least call them and tell them your tale, and see what they say. Could you rent a trailer to tow the car yourself? Got any friends with a truck?

You can buy a new car with $1500 down these days? If you can afford the payments, that might be a good option. But, you'd still want to get your car at least diagnosed and possibly fixed for trade-in or sale.

Yes i’m getting it towed to a subaru specialist shop, it’s my last hope. i meant like from marketplace or auction, car for $1500. I might consider from dealer but in the future i have many many other things im worrying about so a monthly payment will not help lol but yeah hopefully this shop gets it done. the local shop didnt charge me so im not too mad.
