I liked that holder. It must be a useful device to fix up iPhone in it. I am also wondering about what material must be used to keep it up to that place.

I made the holder out of wood and had the bracket thats adjustable- mounted it into the car.
Lined the holder with peel and stick foam from Michaels Art Store- for a snug fit.
Stays out of the way of the shifter and holds it perfectly.
You can probably find a similar holder/stem online I happened to have mine from years ago.

I use the Proclip to hold my Nexus 7 so I can display the Torque app and all my gauges in real time. I use a Bluetooth ELM 327 OBDII Adapter so everything is wireless. Plus there was no drilling at all needed to mount the clip.
