So looks like the car is gonna weigh less than the 2800lbs that I predicted(which is awesome), but coming in at 2662lbs for a base model and 2706lbs for a higher spec manual(auto adds about 45lbs more respectfully), they are closer than the rumored 2500lbs.

Hopefully these are worldwide specs and they don't get bloated for the US market.

Also 200hp @7000rpm and 151 lb/ft @6600rpm. Wheels and tires for base 205/55/16 and 215/45/17 for top spec.

You can see the weigh listed in kg as 1230(1250) for high spec model and 1210(1230) for low spec model. Figures in parenthesis are for automatics.

I realize this is for the JDM FT-86, but knowing how Japan gets the better version of most cars they import to the states, I'm surprised no one has commented on these specs.

Are you all still holding out hope for a 2500lb "less than 300hp" BRZ?

Inside Line did a first drive on an FR-S and reported weigh at 2822lbs. http://www.subarubrzforum.com/showthread.php/251-2013-Scion-FR-S-First-Drive-Inside-Line

I've been around the blocks a few times with the anticipation of an all new car. One thing I've gathered is that early reports on spec figures are almost always too optimistic and unrealistic meant to hype the vehicle.

With that being said I fully expect Subaru to still produce an STI variant with about 270-290hp and weight around 2900lbs.
