Maybe not too late: Read the ownwer's manual. If I recall, you should restrain to revving the engine nom ore than 4,000 RPM during the first 2,ooo miles. 1- when starting the engine, let it idle until the RPM drops under a 1,000 RPM and then get in gear and run slowly until you hit the road and then around 60 miles/hour until the engine warms up to normal temperature (around 10 minutes +-). Do change regurlaly the RPM so not keeping the same RPM . Don't hit the throttle too hard duting the breaking period. After this period, you change the oil and filter (always) and you can drive now your car normally. Take always time to warm up the engine completly before pushing the motor. Good Luck!
