One way to haul a bike

I did this in 2013 with my first BRZ and then used on my 2017 and now my 2023. I had two 30" steel bars made using the tow ring at a machine shop for the thread pattern. Then I can attach a standard bike rack. View attachment 22589

I was researching bike racks for my soon to be here (I hope) BRZ and came across this thread. How do you like this solution? Is it pretty stable? I've got a LeMond that weighs maybe 23 lbs and a Santa Cruz mountain bike that weighs just under 30. Do you get a lot of bouncing?

I had this specially made and have had this since 2013 when the car was first introduced and used it on my 17 and 23 since. At this point, there are many after market. I would look at this Twinhitch, this way you can use a real hitch rack and put more weight and multiple bikes on it. Twin Hitch V2.0 for 2012-2023 — Slambert Performance Engineering
Thanks. I'll save this for later. At this point, I can probably fabricate something similar. I have a welder and a lathe.
