The dealership I bought my 2011 Civic Si from told me the OEM starter is like $600-800 but they could go down the street and have a $150 aftermarket starter installed.

It took a few hours for the place to install the remote starter because it is more complex on a manual tran.

NEVER had a problem with it. You have to arm it every time you exit the vehicle. My problem is sometimes I would forget my cell and leave it in the car. I would run outside unlock the doors grab my phone and run back inside. This unarmed the remote starter, so some mornings I'd have to start the car when I left the house and wait awhile for the engine to warm up.

That was the only issue I had, and that's more on an issue with me, not the starter

You don't need some super expensive remote starter bro
