The Subaru BRZ prologue unveiling happened recently at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show. During the show some new information and hints on the BRZ have been out since.

One of the hints:
- Yoshinaga said the BRZ will have “the lowest possible center of gravity in the world” as a production car.

So with the possibility of the lowest center of gravity in the world in a production car, and other rumors & real facts including the BRZ having a low roof, low ride height, low sitting engine and proper weight distribution do you think the Subaru BRZ will be one of the best handling cars around?

good points made on what could make the Subaru BRZ handling really good and maybe on of the best for it's time.
If a hint like the above is coming from someone like Yoshinaga, I would take it heart, I doubt he would say anything misleading.

in a few months we will really know how well the BRZ will handle, with both Subaru and Toyota involved it's obvious this will be good, but not sure how great.

Its the chassis. Its because it shares the same chassis as the FT86 and FR-S. This chassis is very low to the ground.

If I decide to go with this car, I will be replacing my RX-8, which has been the benchmark for handling so far for "affordable" sports cars. Can't wait to test drive the BRZ and find out how good it is.

the CG of the BRZ will surely be low, The vaunted Boxster doesn't really have such a low CG as many think, the 6-cyl lump sits pretty high. I see that the LFA is of 17". For those of you wanting to dig further into the subject, read this: http://www.longacreracing.com/articles/art.asp?ARTID=22 I have done that and it takes some effort! The lack of sunroof shows their commitment to keeping the CG low

No way, The Rx8 is a much better car and roomier than this BRZ and FR-S. Now if I did not Have an RX8 GT then I wood think of this and the genesis coupe!

The mention of the lower center of gravity is being overused like crazy. Low center of gravity is only one aspect of handling.
it's all part of the marketing, a lot of people don't know how much of a difference the lower center of gravity makes, just hearing that and hearing how the BRZ has a lower center of gravity than a Ferrari gives the BRZ points in some people's books.

Lower Center of gravity, have the motor put behind the front axels.. and the over all weight balance of the car , is what makes it so amazing..

One of the guys I work w/ has an RX8. I showed him the specs and this car and he is really liking it. He is a diehard Mazada fan but also likes muscle cars. He didn't purchase an STi due to the dealership being so far away...lol...lame excuse!!
