See more Scion FR-S pictures at AutoGuide.comIt may not have been as overwhelming as it was last year, but the Subaru BRZ and the Scion FR-S were still two of the most popular customized cars on display at the SEMA Show.
The aftermarket has simply fallen in love with the platform, with tuning enthusiasts embracing the 86 even more now that it’s been on the market for over a year. Builds this year ranged from mild to wild, but overall more street-oriented projects filled the halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The above build for example was seen in the Vortech Superchargers booth featuring a Rocket Bunny body kit, delicious green paint and a nice set of Rotiform wheels finished in black. Of course, under the hood there’s a Vortech supercharger kit giving the FR-S plenty more power.
Other highlights from this year’s show include the GReddy x Scion Racing FR-S we touched on earlier, and Falken gave a sneak preview to Daijiro Yoshihara’s Formula Drift car for next season, a custom Subaru BRZ.
