So I placed my order for the following speakers.
1x (doors) Alpine Electronics of America, Inc.
2x (dash and rear) Alpine Electronics of America, Inc.

I got it a dirt cheap price.
I hear that the dash and rear are 3 1/2. You guys think I should be able to fit a 4 inch into it? Let me re-phrase this..what sort of modification can I do on the speakers to fit in a 3 1/2?
I also did not order any speaker spacer...should I? Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S | Subaru Audio
whats the point of speaker spacers? can someone explain that to me.

The adapters serve 2 purposes. First, they provide a spacer so that the aftermarket speakers don't hit the window, and second, they allow the 4-hole aftermarket speakers to mount to the 3-hole stock mounting configuration.

You DO need door adapters for the Alpines.

As for the dash, you may be able to put them in the dash, but I'll need to review the specs.
