My dealership gave me a WRX to drive while I'm waiting for my BRZ to be delivered. It has this neat feature that holds the brakes for a couple seconds when you're on a hill and release the brake pedal to start going again. Basically it takes the quick footwork out of keeping the car from rolling back. I was wondering if the BRZ had a system like this... I kind of like it, although I do think it is kind of like cheating.

EDIT: I should probably add that this is a feature for manual vehicles, not automatics.

no the BRZ doesn't have that feature but, it will not take you long to get used to the manual transmission...
All but one of my previous cars have been manuals (old Nissans, at that) so I am used to holding on and starting from a hill, no worries there. I just thought this was a nifty little feature that maybe Subaru was putting in all their vehicles or something.

Wth..they gave u a car to use while your car comes in? That's a super nice dealership..
Well, I did word that a little poorly. They didn't quite GIVE me a car. They sold me the WRX (priced like $300 under my BRZ) with a written guarantee that I would get 100% of the purchase price back as trade-in (as long as it doesn't have any scratches/damage not fitting normal wear and tear and with a limit of 6500mi, $0.20/mi over) when my BRZ arrives. This way, I just pay the difference. The general manager who worked this deal out with me said it is a win-win because I have a car to drive and when mine comes in they have a slightly used 2013 WRX to sell.

Even better, they worked my financing out to where I have a higher interest rate on the WRX but get 90 days no payments. This way I make 1 maybe 2 (if the car comes in LATE Feb.) payments that are only $50 higher than my BRZ payment would have been instead of 4-5 payments.

And if anybody was wondering, my dealership was Landers McLarty Subaru here in Huntsville.
