Yes, somebody has pressed the trunk lock bypass button inside the trunk, left side.

The ONLY way to reset this button and reactivate the electronic trunk release is with the hard key inside your key fob. This inserts into a regular keyed lock in the underside of the trunk lid "handle", beside the rubber covered release button.

Once you get the trunk open look inside behind the left wheel arch and make sure the trunk lock button is off before you re close the trunk.

This is to allow you to lock the trunk for valet purposes and if you do use this feature make sure you leave only the fob with the valet and slip the hard key into your pocket or wallet (or your girl's purse).

Yep that did it. Had a set of work steel toe boots in the trunk they must have rolled around and hit the switch. One was laying right next to it. Thanks.

 

what do you do if even the key in my key fob wont open it ?

 

What else have you tried in addition to the above? We need more details to help you. Check the battery in the remote; put fresh ones in and see if that helps.
